Chloe’s Scratch Project

What is Scratch?

Scratch is a programming  website that anyone can use. On Scratch you code your own games but you can also publish them which allows other people to watch/play your game. You can also play other peoples games.

What are Algorithms?

Algorithms are bits of code in a sequence, like instructions, that you coded game/movie follow. They use loops and other bits of code like that.

What is debugging and when did I do it?

Debugging is when you fix a bit of code that has gone wrong, you basically delete a ‘bug’ in you code. I debugged my ‘start’ and ‘end’ pages while making my game.

What did I do well?

I think that my car game went quite well, I especially think that (once they started working) my start and end pages worked very well. I also think that my code was good and improving.

What could I improve on?

I think that I could improve my work by making the background a bit prettier and adding more to my start and end screens.

Did I like using Scratch?

I really liked Scratch because you make amazing games and have a-lot of fun in process. I also like Scratch because its not really like any other coding website I’ve used before.

  1. Well done Chloe, your game worked very well and I enjoyed reading your reflection. You managed to include start and end screen as well! You understand some of the key terms and have been able to write algorithms and debug some of your code, although can you think of a way to get the cars to start facing in the right direction?
